News of Covid-19 and the global pandemic has been hard to avoid for the past 18 months – it’s affected everyone’s lives and changed how we go about our daily activities. Scouting has been no exception to this and we’ve made several changes since it began.
The current awareness level for England is GREEN.
What we can and can’t do in the varying levels of awareness is set by The Scout Association, alongside the National Youth Agency. Further details can be found on The Scouts’ website.
Essentially, the rules for the green level mean that we can largely return to Scouting as it was before the pandemic. Each section has risk assessments covering our different meeting locations, and these will include things such as hand washing/sanitising, ensuring air flow throughout the building, social distancing where possible and the use of masks by leaders when they’re working in close proximity to other people.
