Beaver Scouts at 2nd Chelmsford

The Beaver Scouts are the youngest of the Scouting Movement, aged from 6½ to 8½. The Beaver Scout section gives young boys and girls the perfect opportunity to meet new people, try new things and develop new skills.

Our Beaver colony is part of the 2nd Chelmsford (Springfield) Scout Group.  We meet at the Scout Centre in Lawn Lane on Tuesday evenings at 18:00 and finish at 19:15.  We are an active colony with Beavers earning lots of badges, making crafts, games, cooking, trips to the woods, and an annual hike to Mcdonalds for a Happy Meal!  We also have occasional trips out and sleepovers.

Our colony has twenty-four Beavers and has a wildlife theme.  The Beavers are split into four lodges, Foxes, Eagles, Badgers and Kingfishers.

There are Three leaders, Tracy (Otter), Pete (Rat) and Ed (Hawk), and also Section Assistant, Lee (Tortoise).   We are a voluntary organisation all leaders and helpers provide their time voluntarily and unpaid.
